The hardest part of this blogging process is choosing which song to put up every day. I normally end up deliberating for sometime over songs then I’ll play a song and it will just be Eureka, I’ll know instantly that that’s the one to post. Today’s post was just one of thoese moments. I’m sat here eating my lunch, going through CDs, Playlists and my iPod trying to find a postable song for today, then I find this and I knew it had to go up.
This song has been a favourite of mine for years now, and I can’t help but to break into impromptu karaoke sing along whenever I hear it. The song’s message is undeniably strong and powerful. The overall tonality of the piece also lends itself to optimism, hope and promise. A seemingly unintentional recurring theme of songs in this blog! But I digress
This song has gotten me through some tough times in the past, but even when things are tickety-boo, I can still listten to the song and enjoy it greatly. I hope that you will all join me now in some sing-along karaoke!

Then I chose well! I believe it doesn’t matter what you play, or how you play it. As long as it moves your listener in someway, be it a foot tap to the beat or a life-changing apiphany; it has to have that impact on your listener.
This is one of my favorites as well! It’s one of those songs that instantly make you happy when you hear it no matter your previous mood. Cool idea for a song idea. What would we do without music?!
Absolutely – I must admit, when I plugged my guitar in today, this was the very first riff I plucked today. It has that quality on the guitar where it just feels great to play. A life without music, would be no life at all.

Nice choice, Daniel! Optimism, hope and promise are nice too. It’s taken me a lifetime to learn about those things. And I’m still learning. I have a card on my desk that says, “Many impossible things have been accomplished by those who refuse to quit.”
Whatever happened to Journey? Are they still on the music scene?

I remember the “hang in there” cat. I had that poster hanging on my bedroom wall when I was in my twenties. Wow. That brings back memories.
