A Song A Day: April 10 – The 100th Post Milestone!

10 04 2011

Oh. My. God. Can you believe that it has been 100 days of blogging and posting so far! Jimminy Cricket it’s gone fast. To all of you post-a-day bloggers give your self a very big round of applause. Somehow we’ve managed to find time to update our blogs, our twitters, facebooks and more for at least once a day for the last 100 days.

Before I get onto the thanks and shoutouts section. I think today’s song pick needs no justification or back-story. It speaks for itself.

The journey so far has been amazing, I never thought I’d be enjoying it as much as I am. I really look forward to writing the post every-day and sharing it with the world. My New Years Resolution was to create a blog and stick at it, and so far, so good. I’ve been able to share with you some of my favourite music and songs — and there’s still plenty more to come between now and the end of the year. I’m going to be holding another giveaway competition soon so keep your eyes peeled for that. More details to follow!

I’m not the only one who’s doing the post-a-day challenge – there are literally hundreds of us who are bravely undertaking this highly dangerous work. I’d like to extend my warm regards and toast a virtual champagne to all of those who have visited this blog, engaged by leaving a comment and still continue to check back everyday and make it worthwhile. It wouldn’t be the same without you.

First of all, I’d like to thank Marianne from Grandeur Vision – she’s followed this blog since day 1 and has commented on just about every single post so far. I would also like to give a VERY large nod to one blog I just love to read and listen to; Elaine from Seycen. She’s attempting the song a day thing also, and is doing a superb job. I still owe her a post about my favourite films also. A shoutout is also due for Gitika Partington. Her blog covers a wide array of topics, and also has another song a day feature throughout. It still surprises me to think that somehow we managed to post the same song on the same day.

I’d also like to give a shoutout to EVERYBODY in the facebook group created by Debbie Aka. The Running Garlic – Her all conquering blog and facebook supportery has been a source of inspiration and encouragement. The same goes for all my twitter-followers. There’s too many of you to name – but thankyou all the same.

I’ve also met some great people doing this also. Paula from Paula’s Story and Aditi from Twilight-Readings (amongst other blogs) are well worth a mention and a subscription too. They’re both superb reads and superb people.

Lastly, I want to give a mention to Melissa’s Blog (who’s video game music postings I loved), Molly from Molly & The Princess (who’s blog was one of the first I regulary checked) Kim Koning (who has a great blog for inspiration), Olivia Tejeda (who’s writing blog is a well worth checking out)
